Whistleblowing
If you see something wrong involving FHFL, tell us. You can do it anonymously, and we will not allow you to be punished for it.
FHFL manages public and development capital, awards contracts, allocates homes and selects people for free training. Every one of those creates an opportunity for misconduct, and the people best placed to see it are rarely the people with the authority to stop it.
This channel exists so that you can report a concern without going through the person the concern is about, and without putting yourself at risk.
What to report
Concerns we want to hear about
- Fraud, theft or misappropriation of funds or assets
- Bribery, kickbacks or facilitation payments, whether offered, requested or paid
- Anyone demanding money for a home allocation, a training place, a job or a contract
- Manipulation of a procurement or tender process
- Conflicts of interest that have not been declared
- Falsification of records, accounts or beneficiary data
- Abuse of position or authority
- Sexual exploitation, abuse or harassment
- Discrimination, bullying or victimisation
- Serious breaches of health, safety or environmental requirements on a project
- Any attempt to conceal any of the above
Anyone can report
Employees, contractors, consultants, suppliers, developers, partners, beneficiaries, community members and members of the public. You do not need to work for FHFL and you do not need proof. A reasonable, honest belief that something is wrong is enough. Investigating is our job, not yours.
You can stay anonymous
We will still investigate. If you are willing to identify yourself, it lets us come back to you with questions. Your identity is disclosed to no one outside the investigation without your consent, unless the law requires it, and we will tell you if that happens.
How to report
Three ways to report
whistleblow@fhfl.com.ng, monitored by the Head of Internal Audit and accessible to no one else.
Telephone
Call our dedicated line on 0700 700 3435 (0700 700 FHFL).
Post
Marked strictly private and confidential, to the Chairman of the Board Audit Committee, Family Homes Funds Limited, 4th Floor, The Renaissance Place, Samuel Ademulegun Avenue, Central Business District, Abuja.
Your protection
Our commitment to you
No retaliation
Anyone who retaliates against a person for raising a concern in good faith faces disciplinary action up to dismissal, or termination of contract, whether or not the concern is substantiated.
Confidentiality
Your report and your identity are handled on a strict need-to-know basis.
Good faith is enough
If you report honestly and the investigation finds nothing, you have done nothing wrong. Knowingly making a false report to damage someone is itself misconduct.

We tell you the outcome as far as we lawfully can.
