ESG and safeguards

How we ensure responsible financing.

Housing is the ultimate protection for people, directly influencing their safety, health and wellbeing. Rapid urbanisation across Nigeria has not been matched with adequate infrastructure, leaving significant housing and infrastructure deficits.

But housing development at scale carries real environmental and social risk. The built environment is one of the most resource-intensive sectors, responsible for a substantial share of energy-related carbon emissions, and irresponsible practices on construction sites can undermine the safety, wellbeing and human rights of workers and communities.

That is why Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations are central to our financing strategy.
